Illinois Banned Electronics in Landfills

Living in Illinois and received cool new gadgets for the holidays to replace your old? Starting this New Year landfills in Illinois will not accept electronics of any kind. That is TVs, monitors, scanners, printers, fax machines, VCRs, and printers, can not be thrown in the everyday trash.
The idea is to get the original equipment manufactures to pick up some of the recycling cost. Several places like homes, schools, libraries, and churches will not have to pay for this service, with the exception of the possibility in the beginning. When purchasing electronics a couple of dollars could be added to the bill for disposing the product properly when it reaches its end-of-life.
This Illinois law could create several jobs. Refurbished electronics could become raised; number of recycle centers will increase. They could use more drop off locations and people managing them. People are going to need others to haul off their old electronics. More people like me as Prospectors, could enforce the law and through public awareness to get the message out. What exciting news for prospectors in Illinois!
